1 Bang Tao Beach
Location : West of Phuket, Thalang District
How to get there
The route to the beach is not very obvious without a map as there is no parallel beach road, so you have to follow some small lanes quite a long way. When coming from Patong, continue past Surin Beach and just follow the signs to Laguna Phuket. Once you pass the Banyan Tree, you will shortly arrive at the beach.
2 Kalim Beach
Location : North of Patong Beach, Kathu District
How to get there
Kalim Beach is a short distance from Patong. Songthaews leave regularly to Patong from the market in Phuket and cost 20 Baht per person.
3 Kamala Beach
Location : Between Patong and Surin Beach, Kathu District
How to get there
Kamala beach is 25 kilometres from Phuket town.
4 Karon Beach
Location : Mueang District
How to get there
Karon beach is located about 20 kilometers from Phuket town and located near the north of Kata beach. Just about 10 minutes’ drive from Patong beach.
5 Kata Beach
Location : Mueang District
How to get there
Situated 20 kilometres from phuket town. You can take the narrow beach road up over the hill from Kata.
6 Mai Khao Beach
Location : North of Phuket, Thalang District

Mai Khao beach lies about half an hour’s drive away from the Phuket International Airport.
7 Nai Harn Beach
Location : South of Phuket, Mueang District
How to get there
Located a few kilometers from Kata Beach, next to Phromthep Cape, approximately 18 kilometers from town. This beach can be reached by songthaeos, which leaves from the intersection of Ranong Road and the fountain circle.
8 Nai Thon Beach

Just only 15 minutes from the Phuket National Airport, you can get the quiet elegance of Nai Thon beach within 10 acres approximately of bounds.
9 Nai Yang Beach

How to get there
To reach the Park, start from Thepkasattri Road and continue towards the Thalang intersection, then take a left turn at kilometer21 and 22 markers and proceed for approximately 10 kilometers. Alternatively, at kilometer 21 and 22 markers, follow the road which leads to the airport for approximately 2 kilometers.

10 Nakalay Beach

Nakalay Beach is located in Nakalay Bay near the Patong/Kamala border sign and 4 km north of Patong Beach.
11 Pansea Beach
Location : North of Surin beach, Thalang District
Pansea Beach is one of the best beaches in Phuket, with clean white sand and crystal clear waters. Coral reefs are a stone’s throw from the beach and the magnificent rock formations on either ends of the beach add to the picture postcard effect.
How to get there
Pansea beach are about 24 km distance from Phuket town or 30 minutes by car from Patong Beach on the west coast of the island.

6 Nakha Island

Long-tail boats can be hired for day trips at Po Bay Pier on the northeast coast of Phuket. Or you can include these islands in a tour; tours can be booked at tour desks or travel agents in Phuket.
7 Phi Phi Island
Location : South East of Phuket
How to get there
Ferries leave from Phuket daily at 09:00 am., 11:00 am., and 02:30 pm. several times a day (11:00 am. during high-season only). Tickets can be purchased on-line or on the dock, from tourist offices, most local guest houses and hotels.
8 Taphao Yai & Taphao Noi Island
Location : West of Phuket
Tapao Noi Island is the location of the Southern Sea level Measuring Station, so the island’s visitors need to ask for permission prior to their visit.The ancient lighthouse of more than 100 years is the island’s distinctive feature, the first lighthouse of the South for navigation aid. The lighthouse area is also the wonderful viewpoint. The island’s beach is not long but very clean and white to be a swimming area. There is also the wide plane stone beach caused by the long period of pilled up coral reefs. Accommodation is available on these island.

9 Siray Island
Location : East of Phuket
How to get there
Siray Island is located about 4 kilometers from the city to drive through to Sri Suthat Road.
10 Raya Yai (or Racha) Islands
Location : South of Phuket
Koh Racha Noi (Small Racha) is located just 10 kilometers from Koh Racha Yai. Originating from the accumulation of coral stones, shores are surrounded with deep waters, excellent visibility, white sand and large numbers of vibrant colourful reef fish. Koh Racha Noi has more rocky hills than beaches, thus the island is more suitable for fishing.
How to get there
Koh Racha Yai : Speedboats, Dive boats, Fishing boats, and Large boats transfers from Chalong Pier or Rawai Pier, and the trip takes from 45 minutes to more than an hour depending on the boat and the season.
Koh Racha Noi : To get there contact a charter boat at Chalong Bay or Rawai Bay, or go to travel agent for details on package tours to the islands. By long-tailed boat the travel time is about two hours. Larger boats operated by tour companies will make the trip in about one hour. Travel to Raya Islands is restricted to dry season and periods when the monsoon is not blowing.
11 Yao Island

Yao Noi Island
is one of the largest islands surrounding Phuket and can be reached in one hour by boat from Phuket. The island is situated within a very short distance to the well-known destinations of Bileh Islands, Krabi and Phang Nga (James Bond islands). The tourism has not been developed on a large scale on the island, Thai life style remained unchanged and peace and privacy abound. South of Yao Noi Island it has its twin island, Yao Yai Island, which is even bigger and wilder and offers wonderful spots for trekking. Interesting tourist attractions on Yao Noi Island are Tha Khao Beach, Pa Sai Beach, Klong Jaak Beach and Kian Bay.
Yao Yai Island
is the largest island in Yao Island District and has many interesting beaches, such as Thi Kud Bay, Klong Son Bay, Sai Bay, Lo Pa Raed beach, Laan Bay, Hin Kong Bay, and Laem Nok Og. Lo Jaak pier is an important pier from Yao Island to Phuket. The water at the pier is clear and schools of fish swim near the bridge at the pier. Visitors can see the production of dried anchovies (pla ching chang) here. There are inexpensive bungalows on the island along with home-stay accommodation (Yao Yai Village) with the local people, who make a living by fishery or agriculture, to learn their lifestyle. Beautiful beaches on Yao Yai Island are Loh Jaak Beach, Loh Pa Raed Beach, Klong Son Beach, Thi Kud Bay and Lan Bay.
How to get there
Long-tail boat ferries make daily trips to Yao Noi from Bang Rong Pier on the east coast of Phuket. From the airport, a taxi will take you to the pier in 25 minutes. To get to the pier, take route 4027 east from the Heroines' Monument, then turn right at the sign for Bang Rong (or Bangrong) and follow along for a few kilometers.
