Phuket has tropical climate with 2 seasons - the dry season and the monsoon season. The temperature is basically the same in all seasons. In the monsoon season you will experience short (20-30 minutes) heavy rain followed by sunshine. From June to August there are undercurrents in some areas which makes it unsafe for swimming or snorkeling. A red flag on the beach means it is not safe for swimming so just use the hotels pool instead. |
